Experienced engineer with considerable knowledge of ship construction and marine engineering. Over twenty five years experience of maintenance, diagnosis and repair of a wide-range of propulsion plant and associated systems; hydraulic and pneumatic systems; diesel propulsion; power generation systems. Over sixteen years experience of managing maintenance teams, shore establishments, production and engineering environments.

2014 to present SEASurveys Pte Ltd | Newly established Asian based marine surveying company representing the interests of both H&M and P&I insurers. Consultancy to ship owners, shipyards and port risk inspections for insurance purposes.
2009 to 2013 Inserve Marine Technical Services Ltd. | Joined Inserve in September 2009 to establish a branch office in the Philippines. Responsible for all survey activity in the Asia region.
2000 to 2009 FBM Aboitiz Marine Inc. Cebu, Philippines. | Engineering Manager, responsible for the engineering aspects of the vessels constructed at the yard. Managed the engineering department, brought projects to completion on time and to budget, supervised the engineering staff and sub contractors. Projects undertaken in the last four years: 54mtr Tri-cat for Dae-a Shipping, Korea. 1981 to 2000 Wightlink UK Ltd. Portsmouth | Marine technical department supervisor, responsible for the maintenance and reliability of a fleet of car ferries and high speed passenger ferries. This role included day-to-day management of a large workforce, seven shore establishments (including terminals and piers) and a wide range of repair projects. Considerable experience gained of contract negotiation, subcontract management and third-party supplier relationships. Successfully handled contract, budget, personnel and technical responsibilities for various projects from project initiation through to completion.
